  • Art Is In never fails to impress, whether it is with their wonderful sandwiches, top quality bread, or delectable desserts. At times, the restaurant can be very busy and loud, and the service can be a bit slow, but these minor things have never prevented my countless experiences at Art Is In from being positive ones. If you like New England clam chowder, I would highly recommend it if you're dropping in for lunch!

Easily one of the worst experiences we have ever had. We arrived on Mother's Day Saturday for lunch; my wife, son, and I. We stood in line for about 20 minutes, which was expected and fine, as we knew it would be busy. The seating hostess was probably the only good thing about our experience. She was obviously stressed and in over her head with trying to find seats for everybody, and easily needed another person on with her to help, but she managed very well and was polite and courteous to everybody considering the chaos. When we got to the counter, the girl at the cash rushed us for our order. We asked if we could just do a regular grilled cheese sandwich with only yellow cheddar cheese and no caramelized onions for our 5-year old son. She laughed at us and asked condescendingly if we wanted kraft singles. We said no, and pointed out that they had "add yellow cheddar cheese" and bread, and that is all we needed. She said fine, and charged us for the full grilled cheese order, rather than for the bread and cheese as we had asked, but we didn't say anything. The host sat us at the couch, we waited an acceptable amount of time, and when our food came out, our son's sandwich had white cheese and caramelized onions. At this point, we still weren't angry, mistakes happen (although we had a feeling after the way the girl at the cash spoke to us). We told the girl who brought out the food that we had ordered it with yellow cheddar only, she said sorry, and that she would look into it and be right back. 20 minutes later my wife and I had eaten our food (she did not enjoy the pickle sandwich, I loved the Thai sandwich), and nobody had corrected the order or even followed-up with us, so we had to go get our son some food elsewhere, and Mother's Day Saturday lunch out was effectively ruined. The place looks nice, but the staff don't seem happy or terribly good at their jobs, and the food seems to vary in quality. Atmosphere is crowded, even though it is warehouse style. Host and bussers were good.

  • I originally came by this place two years ago and made a vow never to write about it lest it gains popularity and lines begin to build up. Alas the quality of their food speaks volumes for itself, this has to be some of the best brunch in all of Ontario. Although brunch at this place now is nothing short of absolute chaos with lines out the door and a seating system that makes no sense (one staff member runs around the entire warehouse trying to find which parties are leaving and then sits people, even though she has 5 other things to do with people not waiting the queue to be seated) the food has stayed true which is why I have given it 4 stars. Personal favourites include the breakfast sandwich and the breakfast fries, and their croissants are perfection. Oh and I forgot to mention, the coffee here is quite good.

  • Amazing food! After several visits we finally made it for Sunday brunch! A casual dining atmosphere where food is ordered at the counter and later delivered to your table. The staff are very friendly and make great recommendations.
