  A wonderful large beach. Too often the water is off-limits due to polution, but that's not the only thing to do there. Lots of walking trails and a playground to have fun in. There is a nature centre to learn about the local area and a boat/tackle shop where rentals can be made.

  Yes the beaches are really nice, huge, and not too many people know about this nice place. I've been coming for the last few years but 2016 summer has been the best as far as hot and sunny weather go though there were unfortunately times when only one beach was open because of high bacteria levels. And the gov't is so kind in not charging a fortune for the parking. Thank you very much for a vacation I can afford and enjoy.

  Fantastic! It is really an island of peace and nature. I love how disconnected from the city you feel there. By night they seem to offer a nightclub dance floor, but I have not been. I just heard the loud music while leaving. I went there for a picnic too and it was gorgeous.

  Great place to visit to play in the sand or if you prefer to take a short walk over to the park for a small walk and then come back for a small dip into the river to cool down. On Canada Day this one of the best locations to be in Ottawa, outside Parliament Hill.
