  My first couple of experience with you guys were excellent.Food was great and the service was marvelous. I decided to avail the 10% student discount yesterday with a couple of my friends buying a bunch of food. The food was Prepped quickly with no delay and we were ready to pay. At that time, We were informed that the 10% student discount as mentioned in their website isint available because their manager was not in the shop and they needed him to be there to give us the discount.We were so darn pissed by his rude answer and told him to try too figure things out.He was stubborn that they he wouldn't give me the discount and insisted that we pay the entire amount even though their advertisement was completely valid. I literally go to this place everyday but did not expect this behavior. The old man with a grey beard prepping food was also rude to start with. I don't want to see such a nice shop go Doreen downhill. You've lost a valuable customer.

  One of my favorite shawarma spots in the city. Been eating here for about 8 years. The new renovations are really nice. Two thumbs up!

  Decided to get delivery (which I've done before and it was fantastic) but today my order took over an hour. They didn't have a debit machine so I had to pay cash. The food was cold and tasteless. Totally disappointed.... They need to be able to get their orders out faster so they stay warm and they need to me more professional! Never going back. PS the garlic sauce sucked

  Over the past few weeks I have been eating at Shawarma King, about once a week and honestly this place doesn't have many negative. The negative is the design of the place, I have been to Lebanese restaurants in Beirut while traveling for work and the place doesn't have a Lebanese look to it. The theme looks more Greek than Lebanese to me. Another thing is the people. The customers there seem to be the party type, I'm sure this changes from hour of the day but meh. But don't get me wrong, this place is still just wonderful, service is just delightful, the people who make your food and service you are possibly some of the best I've met. They give off a humble "started from nothing and turned it into something" type of vibe which makes you feel really good because it makes you feel like they put in their 100% effort to make you the customer feel respected and welcome. The food tastes great, of course I don't try everything from there but from what I have tried, like the shawarma sandwich and to actual plates with different food items, it's all fantastic. The food always tastes fresh and they make sure to always stock up when the item is running low. Only negative is that they sometimes construct the sandwich under par and it ends up breaking, but I have had that happen to me only once or twice so it shouldn't be something to worry about. So to sum it up, atmosphere is like a 8/10 to me due to its less traditional style, customer service is a perfect 10/10 for me hands down, and food is a 9/10 for me. Overall give this place a try you won't regret it!

  The falafel is some of the best I've ever had, and they make great garlic potatoes. The staff is really nice and there is lots of seating, so we've never had a problem. The only downside is that the washroom is down a steep flight of stairs, so if you have mobility issues, this may not be the place for you. But otherwise, I'd highly recommend. This is our regular shawarma place in Ottawa. They also do delivery--be sure to specify that you'd like garlic sauce because it doesn't give that option on the order form and we ended up without it once (the travesty!).
