  Absolutely disappointing, don't bother. Last night was the second and the last time we go. Our first visit to ZE Kitchen was nothing to report. The staff was borderline okay and the food was nothing special. My husband ordered the lamb which was over cooked and I had a steak which I had to return three times because it was undercooked. We figured because they'd just opened we'd give them time to iron out wrinkles. Last night we were a table of four and we are pretty much the easiest group when it comes to food. They have a different menu on Wednesday's because it's "date night" which is pretty much burgers, pizza's and wings. If I wanted pizza I would have gone somewhere else. The mains consisted of four dishes and we all took the pasta. It was mushy ravioli, a small douse of rose sauce and three burnt shrimp and all for a whopping 28$. We left the restaurant starving and vowed this will be the last time we step foot in Ze Kitchen. They really need to do something about their wine list and their menu because people will stop going. It's really too bad because they over charge for food that isn't even good (i.e. our ravioli). They've got to come up with a better concept and not "date night" (the wife eats for free). I mean common? There is a lot of money in Ottawa and people don't mind spending on good food... hence good food.

  Poor. When we arrived we told the waiter that we had a reservation and he pointed to a table and said "That one, under the chandelier." We started with a spring salad with strawberries, pecans and goat cheese. If you like iceberg lettuce, this was your dish. I was expecting something more. The goat cheese was almost non existent and the tablespoon of dressing served on the side was insufficient. When the main course was served, it was not served with cutlery - we had to ask. The arctic char in the main course was done well but could have been served with some real vegetables. The best thing that I could say was that the wine was good.

  Excellent service. We were a group of 6 and our food all came out at the same time and each dish was amazing. I had the lamb which was cooked to perfection, delicious sides and gorgeous plating. The atmosphere was classic modern.
